The Watcher Girl by Minka Kent

    January 14, 2022 /

The Watcher Girl had me all over the place. Kent seems to be a master at leading you to one conclusion just to slip in another direction with no way to tell. I could see all the situations through all three of the main characters eyes. I’m starting to swear that Kent is the queen of twists. She never seems to fail to blindside me. Which I truly enjoy.  The Watcher Girl is a situation that some of us may find ourselves in to a point. This story will make you wonder if you should ever try to make things right between you and an ex. You also question why…

    Unmissing by Minka Kent

    January 13, 2022 /

The Unmissing was a book that kept me on my toes. Minka Kent once again brought the roller coaster to the party and anyone who reads this gets a free ride. I wasn’t able to guess what was going to happen in this story. As a reader be prepared for thinking you know what is going on just to be sideswiped by the reality. Kent makes you feel for all the characters. You have empathy for them and the situation. I mean how often does someone’s first spouse come back from the dead to find them with a whole new life. Such a unique situation. I enjoyed the world that…

Review: The Wrong Family by Tarryn Fisher

    December 31, 2020 /

The Wrong Family is my first read of Tarryn Fisher. If you follow me you know I tend to dive in without even reading the synopsis of the book and that’s exactly what I did. I honestly wasn’t sure what to expect and I was pleasantly surprised. While I will freely admit that I was expecting a love story (since that is mainly what I receive to review), I was happily surprised to be reading a suspenseful thriller instead. Now generally with a romance the author dives right in, fast paced to get to the nitty gritty of the relationship so please understand that since I had no clue what…

Review: After The Fire by Will Hill

    March 28, 2020 /

I had never heard for Will Hill before I chose to read After the Fire and now I would probably read his grocery list. It had been a while since i had read anything other than a romance novel when I stumbled upon After the Fire. First the cover grabbed my attention, and then the blurb snagged me up for good. I remember the Waco incident. And while I was still a teenager the whole aspect of how it came to be intrigued me. I’ve always wondered what the people involved felt and how they thought. Hill helped me satisfy some of that curiosity with his book. After the Fire…
