Cover Reveal: Mama’s Boy by Avery Flynn

Avery Flynn has revealed the cover for  Mama’s Boy, Last Man Standing Book 1! Releasing June 21, 2021 He’s exactly who you want to take home. Top three lies about mama’s boys: 1. That we don’t know what we want. That one is straight up BS. I know exactly what I want–to win this bet with my cousins by any means necessary even if it means finding the worst possible date in all of Harbor City and agreeing to whatever she asks in exchange for her pretending to fall for me. 2. That we are soft, little wimps. Yeah, you don’t get to be CEO of a multibillion dollar company…

    Spotlight Interview: KD Robichaux

I found this amazing author years ago. I read her trilogy, The Blogger Diaries. Imagine my surprise when I found out that this incredible series was not just fiction but her very own love story. Then in 2019 I was able to meet her in person at Wanderlust San Antonio. I was beyond excited when she agreed to be one of My Blissful Books Spotlight Authors. So without further ado this is KD Robichaux.   1.Let’s start at your beginning, The Blogger Diaries. What made you decide to open your personal love story up for the world to read and discuss? I started out in the book world as a…

A Sweet Mess by Jayci Lee

With all that is going on in the world today, Jayci Lee gave me what I didn’t even know I needed. Her book, A Sweet Mess, was a breath of fresh air and nonstop laughs. Expertly written, deliciously funny, and hotter than the kitchen. I started A Sweet Mess without reading the synopsis, so I truly had no idea what to expect. This was also the first of Ms. Lee’s books for me. For some, going in completely blind is scary. For me, it helps me form my own opinions without any bias. What I found was an amazing and hilarious love story. What I got was a much needed…

Review: Dishing Up Love by KD Robichaux

Finding a good romcom to read can be hard to find, writing one (I can only imagine) even harder, with everyone’s sense of humor being so different. Or maybe I am just picky. Then BOOM! That’s KD Robichaux kicking in the door with Dishing Up Love. Is there anything this woman cannot write? I have read several of her other books, from her debut autobiographical love story to her dark romances, and she always draws me in and holds me captive with her words. Dishing Up Love is no exception. Robichaux has a way of making her characters feel like they’re your best friends. Each character is so relatable. The…

Review: The Three Kiss Clause by Christopher Harlan

For this bringing Christopher Harlan’s debut romcom I am highly impressed. I have been a fan for a while. Having read some of his other books, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Don’t get me wrong there is always humor somewhere in almost every book but a romantic comedy isn’t just a scene here and there. It is a whole other level. How do I judge if a romcom is a hit?? When my kids are asking me what’s so funny because I can’t contain my laughter. Did The Three Kiss Clause met or exceed these expectations? YES!! My youngest came in from another room to ask what I watching…

Review: Whole Lotta Frogs by Samatha Harris

OMG!!! I have got to say this book by Samatha Harris is IT!! Whole Lotta Frogs has everything you need. It has laughter (lots of it), romance, laughter (yes it needed to be said again) and reality. Harris had me busting a gut from the first chapter until the very last. Lennox is braving the seas of dating and blogging about all the frogs she has to kiss while trying to find her prince. This is the best part of the book. I can honestly see these dates happening. I feel like I have met most of these guys. Having her best friends, Desi and Gus, help her through all…

Review: Do You Do Extras? by Nikki Ashton

Nikki Ashton has written a fantastic rom-com in Do you Do Extras? I was able to sit back and enjoy a romance with a lot of laughter. Phoebe is an extra on a movie when she accidently bumps into the star Grantley. Their chemistry drives this book. Watching their animosity turn into a flames is delightful. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is needing a lift to their day. I don’t tend to read a whole lot of rom-coms. After reading DYDE I am starting to think I need to make this a weekly must do. I think my favorite part of DYDE is the twins, Callum and…
