Review: Unreasonable by Anne Mercier
Unreasonable is a sweet, steamy fast read. This is the third in the series, but I was able to jump right in. So it can be read as a stand alone, although I do plan to go back to read book one and two. Easy to follow without knowing the backstory. I love going in blind with the majority of my books. So I didn’t read the synopsis, I just dove in. Since it is short there was no waste of words. The story was very well thought out and executed without a lot of fluff. Which I’ll be honest, I didn’t miss. The plot flowed, the characters were all…

Review: Turn the Page by Kristine Dugger
I honestly didn’t know what to expect when I started Turn the Page. I had never read a book by Kristine Dugger and I was jumping into a series at book 3. Sometimes with a series you need to read the previous books and sometimes you don’t need to. Thankfully I could just jump right in. And jump I did. Dugger did not waste any time at all in bringing her A+++ game to the table. In just her prologue Dugger totally shows the reader just a small inkling of the power of she holds. She takes your emotions and brings you on a whiplash ride. Not really a spoiler…

Review: Etched in Stone by Liv Arnold
Etched in Stone is Liv Arnold’s debut book which shocked me. She has found her niche so early in her career. I found Etched in Stone to be a book that while listed as suspenseful romance was so much more. Her characters are relatable, fun, and believable. You want to be in this world that Arnold has created. Vanessa has just graduated college and accepted a job offer at her dream place. It looks like the fates are in her favor until reality happens. Her mom has a run in with the police which puts everything Vanessa has busted her but for in jeopardy. Given a way to save her…

Review: Thia Finn’s By The Second Show
Thia Finn does it AGAIN!! Before the Second Show is another rocking romance. So beautifully written with a story that will draw you in and bring out all the feels. Who hasn’t had that dream crushed when their object of infatuation doesn’t return their love? Emmy is crushing on Alex Trace, an up and rising rock star. When she meets him backstage after the show and gets her first kiss, she is completely over taken by the belief that they are…

Review: Reckless Love by Teri Kay
So yesterday I had the time (finally) to crack open Reckless Love by Teri Kay. It’s been sitting on my kindle for a couple days and I wanted to get it read and reviewed by it’s release date. Reckless Love is book 5 in Kay’s The Cave Series. Since I have not read the series I wasn’t sure what to expect. I knew Kay was a great writer, having read a couple of her other books. So I knew homegirls wasn’t going to leave me hanging but DAYUM!! I finished Reckless Love at 2 am this morning and instantly went into my reader group trying to find someone else who…

Review: The Three Kiss Clause by Christopher Harlan
For this bringing Christopher Harlan’s debut romcom I am highly impressed. I have been a fan for a while. Having read some of his other books, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Don’t get me wrong there is always humor somewhere in almost every book but a romantic comedy isn’t just a scene here and there. It is a whole other level. How do I judge if a romcom is a hit?? When my kids are asking me what’s so funny because I can’t contain my laughter. Did The Three Kiss Clause met or exceed these expectations? YES!! My youngest came in from another room to ask what I watching…

Review: Venus Wedding by Golden Angel
In all honesty I was weary about reading Venus Wedding. Not because it had BDSM nor because it was MFM, but because every book that I had read with a poly couple the book was all about the sex and not the relationship. So I have to thank Golden Angel for breaking that trend for me. Angel has crafted a book that’s so beautifully tells the story of best friends who have fallen in love with and plan on marrying the same woman. Angel brought to life a relationship that is so realistic that you know it’s happening to someone. This is not an all lollipops and sugar kisses book.…
