Under His Guidance by Stacy Von Haegert
Once again Stacy Von Haegert has written a historical romance that kept my attention. This follows the life of Edward and Morgan. I am seeing a preference in how Von Haegert writes her female characters, strong and independent. Just the way I like the women in a story. I love how (so far) none of her females feel as though they have to follow society norms in the time period of the stories. Morgan is a little bit more compliant, but I gather that it is more due to her circumstances than to her true nature. I enjoyed diving into Under His Guidance and getting to be among that world…

Under His Protection by Stacy Von Haegert
I’m going to be very honest here. I do not usually read Historical Romance. It’s just not my cup of tea. So to say Under His Protection by Stacy Von Haegert caught me by surprise is an understatement. Von Haegert brought to life a beautifully written story. I loved her main characters and side characters. Greyland, the female main character, is unlike most historical females. She is free spirited, intelligent, outspoken, and quite the handful. I fell in love with her instantly. Never one to back down or turn the other cheek, she didn’t not conform to society. Honestly I think Greyland is the main reason I loved this book.…

?☠️Spotlight Author: Rachelle Stevensen?☠️
I stumbled upon Rachelle Stevensen by chance. She was an author on my Facebook, but being a blogger I have a lot authors on there. I loved it so much and the story just came to my head. Then the…

Review: The Marquess Who Adored Me by Rachelle Stevenson
The Marquess Who Adored Me is the second book in The Men Who Revere Us series. I stumbled on to this author. So when it was suggested that I read her book I agreed. I haven’t read historical romance since I was in my early teen years, but figured why not. Rachelle Stevensen is new to the indie scene, with this being only her second book. Stevensen’s cover reminded me of the “Fabio” days. The pirate ships, handsome swashbuckler, and the damsel in distress all so gorgeously displayed. So I dove in expecting to go back to a freer time in my life. I wasn’t disappointed. Stevensen brought a great…
