Unmissing by Minka Kent
The Unmissing was a book that kept me on my toes. Minka Kent once again brought the roller coaster to the party and anyone who reads this gets a free ride. I wasn’t able to guess what was going to happen in this story. As a reader be prepared for thinking you know what is going on just to be sideswiped by the reality. Kent makes you feel for all the characters. You have empathy for them and the situation. I mean how often does someone’s first spouse come back from the dead to find them with a whole new life. Such a unique situation. I enjoyed the world that…

Review: Etched in Stone by Liv Arnold
Etched in Stone is Liv Arnold’s debut book which shocked me. She has found her niche so early in her career. I found Etched in Stone to be a book that while listed as suspenseful romance was so much more. Her characters are relatable, fun, and believable. You want to be in this world that Arnold has created. Vanessa has just graduated college and accepted a job offer at her dream place. It looks like the fates are in her favor until reality happens. Her mom has a run in with the police which puts everything Vanessa has busted her but for in jeopardy. Given a way to save her…

Review: Trouble by Adriana Locke
Avery comes from a family where everything is about never having privacy, everyone wanting to know you and use you to get what they want. This was a part of her life she hated and wanted away from, so she returns to the one place she had where no one knew who she was, Dogwood Lake. Penn was born, raised and still living in Dogwood Lake. Having always wanted to escape from his own life, he often reflects on the one time someone truly looked at him, listened to him and made him matter. It was only one night, but the memory has lived on in him. That night he met…

Review: Thia Finn’s By The Second Show
Thia Finn does it AGAIN!! Before the Second Show is another rocking romance. So beautifully written with a story that will draw you in and bring out all the feels. The reader can relate to the heroine, Emmy. Who hasn’t fallen in love with band? Who hasn’t had a wild crazy dream of being loved by a rock star? Who hasn’t had that dream crushed when their object of infatuation doesn’t return their love? Emmy is crushing on Alex Trace, an up and rising rock star. When she meets him backstage after the show and gets her first kiss, she is completely over taken by the belief that they are…

Review: The Three Kiss Clause by Christopher Harlan
For this bringing Christopher Harlan’s debut romcom I am highly impressed. I have been a fan for a while. Having read some of his other books, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Don’t get me wrong there is always humor somewhere in almost every book but a romantic comedy isn’t just a scene here and there. It is a whole other level. How do I judge if a romcom is a hit?? When my kids are asking me what’s so funny because I can’t contain my laughter. Did The Three Kiss Clause met or exceed these expectations? YES!! My youngest came in from another room to ask what I watching…

I want it!!!
So much has happened I’m my RL world since I posted my last review. If you have read my about me page you know that I was diagnosed with a rare auto immune disease over 8 years ago. I was only 31 when my doctor told me that I had Mixed Connective Tissue Disease (MCTD). I had been bed ridden for about a year when they finally found out what I had. Not fun for a woman who has 3 children to raise. Even worse when they tell you there is no cure and really no set treatment, that you are essentially a guinea pig for the rest of your…
