    Saturday Snippet featuring Aisha Urooj

Prologue Do you have a friend that makes you smile on the darkest of days? I do! I have my best friend, Ellie. If you are lucky enough to have a best friend, what would you do for them? Would you stand up for them? Fight the last person on Earth for them? Die for them, or give them your kidney? Said yes so far? Surely your love for your friend is wonderful… but what if I asked: Would you be willing to live through heartbreaks over a thousand lifetimes, just to be with your friend together until the last breath? Would you only do it for your best friend,…

    Saturday Snippet featuring Katrina Marie

The hallway to the office is a short distance away, and I make my way toward it. The loudness of the bar fades away the closer I get to the office. Now where is that box? Scanning the shelf, I don’t see it anywhere. I squeeze behind the door, bumping it slightly as I reach up to look at the boxes higher on the shelf. There. Of course, it’s on the top one. I really need to get some kind of a ladder in here. Especially since there are more people working here that may need to get something. My hand goes up to grab the box, and I feel…

    Asher by Livell James

I’m not new to the Rogue Enforcer world but with each new author that writes in the series my favorite author list grows. Livell James is no exception to that. James has grown the RE world to include Asher, a man who doesn’t think love exists for him. A man who never seems to be on top even though he has untapped abilities. He’s stuck in a pack whose Alpha is corrupt. The plot line keeps you turning the pages. Finding out if Asher can escape or even find lasting love in all the chaos is what had me up all night to finish. This is a must read for me…

Look out for Phantom by RJ Gray

I was suggested Phantom by a trusted friend. Having never read RJ Gray before I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect. First, this is a series based on a community of ex military men. So I expected a lot of action. What I did not expect was the steam! And oh lawdy did Gray bring the heat in Phantom.   Phantom is the first in the series and what a way to start off. The storyline appealed to me within the first couple pages. The characters are extremely relatable. I fell in love with Sam and Hudson. Their chemistry, not only in the sheets, was blazing. I hate that I…

Saturday Snippet: Dead Reckoning by Gwyn McNamee

PROLOGUE REAPER The oppressive heat and humidity weigh down on my body like a heavy, wet blanket. Every breath draws hot, muggy air into my lungs, offering no relief. It’s more like drinking in soup than breathing, really. Sitting in the thick, lush vegetation soaked with the recent rainfall doesn’t help things, but it provides me the perfect vantage point to stalk my target. Complete cover where I can blend into the landscape and from which to deliver death. He hasn’t spotted me once since I began to follow him over a week ago, stalking him around town, assessing his every move, noting his patterns to find the perfect opportunity…

Saturday Snippet: Obligation by Lexi Lawton

Since time has gotten to where I could no longer do our Spotlight Author segment I decided to create a new segment, Saturday Snippets. Every Saturday we will be posting excerpts from books (with author permissions) so you can see who you may be missing out on. Our first Saturday Snippet comes from Lexi Lawton. A large hand covered hers, and she went to pull away when her gaze snagged on the one thing she’d been searching for all night—in the space between his thumb and forefinger was a small, black X. She nearly hooted with excitement. “So, you’re one of the lucky chosen ones, huh?” She grabbed his hand…

    Updates!

Dang, it’s been so long since I’ve been on here. That is going to change. This blog started out as a way for me to get all my thoughts and feelings about my love for books out. It was my go to place. That soon spread into my reading group, My Bissful Books Readers. I have been in the indie book community for over 7 years now. Wow! That’s seems so long but to me it hasn’t been. I was pulled out of retirement from doing personal assistant work in 2020. Not to long after Blissful Services was born. Slowly my time to read, review and blog started to diminish.…

The Watcher Girl by Minka Kent

The Watcher Girl had me all over the place. Kent seems to be a master at leading you to one conclusion just to slip in another direction with no way to tell. I could see all the situations through all three of the main characters eyes. I’m starting to swear that Kent is the queen of twists. She never seems to fail to blindside me. Which I truly enjoy.  The Watcher Girl is a situation that some of us may find ourselves in to a point. This story will make you wonder if you should ever try to make things right between you and an ex. You also question why…
