    🐺Spotlight Author: Theresa Hissong🐺

I was introduced to the writing of Theresa Hissong in 2019 at a book signing. I was talking about how I had never read a shifter book. A volunteer there told me I had to read Theresa Hissong’s Talon. I took her up on her suggestion and devoured Talon. I had the pleasure of meeting Theresa the next month at a different signing. I literally ran to her table first so that I could get a signed copy before she sold out.   This month in My Bissful Books Readers we celebrating Paranormal authors. I was excited when Theresa agreed to be one of our Spotlight Authors. Theresa is an amazing…

Review: The Rise of the Pride series by Theresa Hissong

In July of 2019 I read the first book, Talon,  in the Rise of the Pride series by Theresa Hissong. I reviewed it for the blog and swore I’d get back to reading the rest of the series. Well ya’ll it took me a couple years and a huge book funk to finish them. The Pride not only brought me out of the funk but also reminded me why I loved Talon so much. I subsequently fell deeply in love with each following story.   Theresa Hissong has created a massive amount of heart-stopping, mind blowing characters and a world that captures your attention and heart. She writes strong alpha…

🧙🏼‍♀️✨Spotlight Author: Joci Grace Morgan. ✨🧙🏼‍♀️

This week’s Spotlight Author is the wickedly talented Joci Grace Morgan. I ws introduced to Morgan’s work when I was offered an ARC of her debut book, Rise of the Raven.  I swiftly fell in love with her writing. So imagine my surprise when I found out that Joci Grace Morgan was actually two of my favorite people and authors, Darlene Tallman and Liberty Parker. I was so stoked to interview them for this Spotlight. For those of you who don’t remember I have interviewed both of these authors separately for this blog but Joci Grace Morgan is totally different from those interviews (make sure you read those to get…

    📖Spotlight Author: Sunny Mawson📖

I am stoked to introduce you to my 80’s soul sistah and friend, who just happens to be author Sunny Mawson. I absolutely love both of her shifter series and hope you dive in and read them. 1. Having read both of your series, how did you know shifters were your niche to write? I love reading and writing shifters. When I first started writing, it felt like everything but shifters was a struggle for me. Writing them just came naturally to me. 2. If you had to choose between your two careers as a chef and as a writer which would you give up if you had to choose…

    ⭐️Spotlight Author: Carmen Richter⭐️

It’s always nice when I get to find a new to me author to interview and showcase their books. I truly enjoy learning and exploring a new author and their thought process. So let me introduce you to Carmen Richter.   1. If you could tell your younger writing self anything, what would it be? I’d tell myself not to be afraid to write about the painful and scary things. Pain and heartache is part of what makes a good story, and if you don’t write about that, you’re not telling the most authentic story you can. 2. How does relationships with other authors help you as an author? Having…

Review: Boomer’s Rise by K.L. Savage

Okay ya’ll, I am not even going to lie I squealed when I got this! I mean seriously who isn’t in love Boomer? Shhh… just don’t tell his main squeeze. K.L. Savage did not let me down. I dove into Boomer’s Rise like a kid in a candy store. And then I devoured him and his club.   Knowing how the Atlantic City chapter started and then to see how far they have come was wonderful. Of course it would be a Savage book if there weren’t tears in your eyes at some point. These women blend all the clubs together so seamlessly that they come alive as you read.…

Review: Dancing with Sin by Alexandria Lee

Alexandria Lee has written an extremely hot, emotionally driven, and how the hell did it come to be this way story. Alice and Ethan are characters that you probably know their doppelgänger in real life. A dancer and a soon-to-be lawyer whose lives are entangled with one another.   Watching Alice & Ethan struggle their way through and try to find happiness in their lives will have you turning the pages fast. I so want to go more deeply into a few things but doing so will give it all away. I will say that there is (for some people) a  “taboo” subject dealt with.   I personally found the…

Review: Eternal Curse by Kara Leigh Miller

Are you a fan of Twilight? Do you have a thing for the paranormal? If you answered yes to either of those questions you have to dive into Eternal Curse. Kara Leigh Miller has weaved this magical web around her book to keep you trapped. She has bypassed (in my humble opinion) Meyer in this series. Chloe Madison is a teenager that you just want to hold and nurture. She has lost her mom during what every person knows is one the hardest parts of life, the teenage years. Chloe is then whisked away from the only place she knows to live with family.  Who wouldn’t want to just cuddle…

    Review: Angel by Kristine Allen

If you are new to Kristine Allen, be prepared to hold on tight for this ride. Allen is known for her MC romance book but Angel pushes her from amazing to phenomenal. Taking a leap into the paranormal MC was just what she needed to do. Bringing her wicked insight into a new genre adds even more spice to her stories.   As always Kristine Allen sweeps in to her world with just her prologue. She makes your heart hurt, she  makes you care more than you expect and then she rips you into pieces. Sometimes I think she enjoys putting her readers through all that pain just to stitch…
