Erin Bazzara is living life to the fullest as a single woman in New Orleans and making a name for herself as one of the top psychologists in the state of Louisiana. Years ago, she swore off men after receiving devastating news, news that proved her fiancé didn’t care about the rule “in sickness and in health.” It also proved he didn’t really care about her. Good riddance, who needs a man anyway? Not her. Not ever again. Or so she thought, until she literally runs into a certain world-renowned chef who looks at her like she might be his next four-course meal.
Chef Curtis Rockwell, host of the award-winning Chef To Go, never knows who the next participant on his show will be. State to state, city to city, he scours grocery store aisles each episode, looking for the perfect stranger to go home with so he can teach them how to cook a gourmet meal. It’s always been just a part of his job, a job he loves but still a job… Then he spots her. The perfect participant. The perfect woman. A woman not even his dreams could have conjured up. Now, all he has to do is prove the heat between them won’t just sizzle out like yesterday’s flambé.

Finding a good romcom to read can be hard to find, writing one (I can only imagine) even harder, with everyone’s sense of humor being so different. Or maybe I am just picky. Then BOOM! That’s KD Robichaux kicking in the door with Dishing Up Love. Is there anything this woman cannot write? I have read several of her other books, from her debut autobiographical love story to her dark romances, and she always draws me in and holds me captive with her words. Dishing Up Love is no exception.

Robichaux has a way of making her characters feel like they’re your best friends. Each character is so relatable. The whole time I was reading Dishing Up Love I felt as though I was listening to my bestie tell me about her latest love. All the ins and outs, the ups and downs. Dishing Up Love flows so eloquently, it’s like a beautiful dance.

One of my favorite parts of this book is the stories of the city, New Orleans. Robichaux makes the location come alive and the history so vibrant. You can tell her love and respect for the New Orleans. The research and time she spent exploring is obvious throughout the whole book. I am ready to pack my bags for a visit and explore the same streets that Erin and Curtis walk.

Erin and Curtis are two characters  whose romance will have you wanting another chapter and laughing like a hyena. You can’t go wrong when you one click this book. Dishing Up Love serves us the best of the best. You won’t leave this book without being hungry for even more.
